GPI-Space is a distributed task-based workflow software development and execution platform developed at Fraunhofer ITWM. It takes care of general aspects related to scheduling, distributed memory management, and task execution. The GPI-Space programming model defines workflows as petri nets enabling both task and data parallelism. During this webinar, we'll show how a petri net workflow is created in GPI-Space and how to execute it. The webinar is organized by the EPiGRAM-HS and will be coordinated by Stefano Markidis.


Max studied at the University of Kaiserslautern where he received both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science in the domain of Computer Graphics, Visualization, and Algorithmic Geometry. After spending some time working at Los Alamos National Laboratory, he went on to work for Kitware Europe as a R&D Engineer. Since April 2020, he is the Build & Release Engineer at Fraunhofer ITWM’s HPC department.
